Two Day Workshops in the Feldenkrais-Method
with Günther Bisges, October 19th & 20th, Stockholm
Under-Standing Legs (October 19th)
In this workshop we will look how the multiple articulations of the leg feed in to the pelvis/spine and vice versa. We will relate these movements to walking and look at the various changes of the leg/spine relationship in the different phases of walking.
The dynamic balance between weight bearing and non weight bearing, between folding and unfolding determines the healthy and lifelong functioning of the legs/spine. These cyclical changes lead to an equal distribution of effort and the structural health of all the components involved: bones, cartilage, tendons and muscles.
In this course we will learn both through a number of movement experiments and through understanding the three-dimensional anatomy of the legs how to regain and relearn this dynamic balance step by step and integrate it into our lives.
Advanced Training: Handling Legs (October 20th)
In this Advanced Training for Feldenkrais Practitioners we will explore both through ATM and FI the relationship between the legs and pelvis/spine and transfer it’s balancing control in movement within the context of walking. Giving tactile clues while the partner/client is in motion will greatly improve their functional integration in action. Thus inviting itself to become an important tool for information, learning and change.
